Introduction

Damage to the walls of blood vessels or known as arterosclerosis is one of the main causes of this disease. CHD is characterized by symptoms such as chest pain or discomfort in the chest area, especially when doing severe physical activity, climbing, or when running. PJK is divided into several categories, including Chronic Stable Angina (Angina pectoris stable; APS) and Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). ACS itself is often divided into three types: Unstable angina (Angina pectoris unstable; APTS), Acute Non St elevation myocardial infarction (acute NSTEMI), and Acute St Elevation Myocardial Infarction (acute stemi).

This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of students of the class of 2021 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra regarding coronary heart disease. With a good understanding of this disease, students are expected to be able to play an active role in the prevention and handling of CHD in the community.
