The Influence of Entrepreneurial Personality and Entrepreneurial Knowledge on the Interest of the Entrepreneurship of Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra

Introduction

Building an entrepreneurial spirit in the younger generation, especially students, is an important key in encouraging the national economy. The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra (FEB USU), has been actively involved in promoting entrepreneurship among its students. This study aims to reveal the influence of entrepreneurial personality and entrepreneurial knowledge on the interest of USU FEB students in entrepreneurship. The study involved students from the Strata-1 Management class of 2012-2013 who had or were taking entrepreneurship courses.

Methodology

This study uses multiple linear regression analysis methods with the help of SPSS for Windows. The results show that both entrepreneurial personality and entrepreneurial knowledge have a positive and significant influence on the interest of USU FEB students. That is, the higher the level of entrepreneurial personality and entrepreneurial knowledge owned by students, the greater their interest in building their own business.

By building a strong foundation, USU FEB can print young entrepreneurs who are ready to compete and contribute to advancing the Indonesian economy.
