Introduction

The work environment and workload play a crucial role in determining the level of employee productivity in a company. In this study, we aim to analyze the influence of the work environment and workload on employee work productivity at PT. Horti Jaya Lestari Dokan Branch. The study uses a quantitative approach with associative research methods to examine the relationship between the work environment, workload, and employee productivity. The population studied includes all employees of PT. Horti Jaya Lestari Dokan, with 71 respondents.

Literature Review

Previous studies have shown that the work environment and workload have a significant impact on employee productivity. A study by Katz and Kahn (1978) found that a positive work environment can increase employee morale and motivation, leading to improved productivity. Methodology

Data collection techniques consist of primary data obtained through direct questionnaire distribution, as well as secondary data collected from books, journals, and other related sources. The analysis methods used include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis tests.

Results

The results of this study show that the work environment has a significant effect on work productivity. Likewise, the workload also has a significant impact on employee productivity. When analyzed simultaneously, both the work environment and workload show an interrelated effect on work productivity.

The value of the correlation coefficient (R) reached 0.597, which indicates a strong relationship between the work environment and workload of productivity. The Adjusted R Square value indicates that the work environment and workload variables are able to explain 33.8% of work productivity variability, while the rest is influenced by other variables that are not explained in this study.

Discussion

This analysis highlights the importance of the role of a conducive work environment and the management of balanced workload. A good work environment, such as sufficient lighting, adequate facilities, and social support from colleagues and superiors, can increase employee morale. Meanwhile, excessive or unbalanced workload can cause stress, which in turn decreases performance.

To increase productivity, the management of PT. Horti Jaya Lestari should conduct routine evaluations of the conditions of the work environment and distribute workloads fairly. In addition, increasing employee involvement in decision making related to their duties can provide a stronger ownership and increase work motivation.

Conclusion

Overall, this study provides important insights on the factors that influence employee productivity and provides recommendations that can be implemented to improve performance at PT. Horti Jaya Lestari Dokan Branch. The study highlights the importance of a conducive work environment and balanced workload in increasing employee productivity.

Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are made:
