The informants in this study were chosen purposive sampling, involving those who became the leading sector of RTH, namely the South Labuhanbatu Regency PUPR Office, the Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan, the Labuhanbatu Selatan District Environment Office, and the Youth/Social Organization in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency.

The development of green space in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency began since the formation of Regional Regulation No. 04 of 2017 concerning RTRW Labuhanbatu Selatan in 2017. Even though it has been running, its application is still in the planning stage and continues to be developed. The study aims to reveal the challenges and opportunities in the development of green space in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency.

There are several challenges in the RTH development process in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency:

Advocacy and Socialization

Advocacy and socialization to the South Labuhanbatu Regency Government OPD which is a member of the RTH Working Group, the community, and business actors need to be improved.
